Franchise Fee/Royalty
Most if not all, franchises requires their franchisee to pay a “franchise fee” and/or royalties to the corporate office. These include commissions from gross sales and an advertising fee.
Since Cinnabon offers two types of franchises; one for their “Express location” and another for their “Full Bakery locations” their fees differ for each type.
For the “express location,” the initial franchise fee is $7,500. There are no advertising fees, but there is a royalty ranging from $15.00 to $20.00 per case of freezer to oven rolls that are purchase from Cinnabon’s designated supplier.
For the “full bakery location,” an initial franchise fee of $30,000 is required. For this location both an advertising and royalty fee is allocated amounting to 1.5-3% and 6% of net sales respectively. Thus, a total of 9% of your net sales (highest rate) will be due back to the corporate offices of Cinnabon.
