E2 Visa – Chantal’s Eastern Fashion

E2 Visa – Chantal in LA, Fashion Buyer

My name is Chantal and I launched an online eCommerce business. The business will be selling jewelry and accessories from various, selected, designers around the world and marketed to the US. I’m also looking to open a boutique in Los Angeles.

I’ve never lived in the US before although I have visited the US many times for holidays.  At some point, I decided that I wanted to move here.  America has a way of just stealing your heart unawares.  I love California for the weather, lifestyle and business opportunities. When we decided to relocate we first had to find an immigration attorney. Continued below….

We found Attorney Chris Ingram’s website online through some research, and after consultation with Attorney Chris M. Ingram, we found out about the E2 Visa and decided this was the best opportunity for us.

After we hired Attorney Chris M. Ingram for our E2 visa they provided us with a great deal of guidance.  As we are a startup business and online, it was a double challenge. A lot of elements have to go into the business plan, as everything is new, nothing is set up yet. And then there is also the process of the requirements for the E2 Visa itself.  With the continuous help and advice of Attorney Chris and his team, they walked us through the steps of the process. They worked closely with us the entire time. Giving up wasn’t an option, and we never thought to give up at any point, even though it is a challenging process and requires a lot of patience. If there was an element that the team felt may not be right for the Visa application, or something was missing they were always on hand to provide the best advice.

E2 Visa Success: as a law firm we’re handling approximately 50 E2 visa cases at any given time. That’s 50 different families and 50 different types of businesses. We have tremendous amount of experience in helping our E2 Visa clients navigate this process successfully. Chantal wanted to launch an online business selling fashion accessories and thus not the typical business choice. However, we have worked with a lot of online business models and so Chantal E2 visa case was for us very straightforward. One of the things we always try and keep at the forefront or our mind is the fact that whilst this case maybe another in a long line of cases for us over the last decade, for our client it’s often their first business adventure so it’s very important that we work closely with them and provide them with as much support as possible. Being your own boss can be a very liberating thing, it means you have total control over your future and how long you can stay in the US. Whereas, for those clients who are being sponsored into the US for a job, if they lose that job due to circumstances outside their control they can also lose their right to stay in the US and this can be devastating to the entire family. We love E2 visas because it does provide the family with a sound level of security. Where the applicants are married then one spouse can even go off to work and pursue green card opportunities. We wish Chantal every success with her E2 visa and new online business. Watch this space as we look forward to sharing exciting updates about the rise and rise of this Chantal’s business. We had a very friendly, positive relationship with Chris and his team. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant to communicate with. Upon arrival to the US, we went to visit the offices, and Attorney Chris took his time with us to answer all our questions and concerns and gave us all the right advice to point us in the right direction in our pursuit for the E2 Visa. The entire time throughout the process we remained in close communication, whether via emails and/or phone calls.

About the E2 Visa Embassy Interview – The interview itself took less than 10 minutes, and we were asked straightforward questions and the adjudicating officer was very positive.

Ingram submitted on our behalf. We were very excited to have had our application approved on our first attempt, and couldn’t wait to return to the US!

Now that we are back in the US our most pressing task is launching the business finally and settling in Los Angeles. Now we can launch the business and feel more confident and motivated that it will be a continued success through continuing to work hard. When the time comes for the renewal, we will continue to work with the Law Offices of Chris M. Ingram I feel they really took great care of me.

My advice to anyone considering the E2 Visa option would be that it not an easy process, it is a challenge, but well worth the reward.
