E2 Visa – Julian’s Mac Tools Fleet
We are from Wales, in the U.K. We never lived in the U.S prior to our move here in 2009 but vacationed here regularly. We knew we wanted to move to the U.S as we loved the friendliness and laid back lifestyle we had experienced while vacationing and also felt that the U.K had nothing more to offer us. The cost of living was increasing dramatically every year and with sales tax increasing to 20% it just felt that the harder we worked the more the government benefitted, with no benefit to us. Continued below…..
After speaking to Chris that we wished to buy a franchise in the U.S. he explained to us that an E2 visa was the best way forward. This process was not an easy one as there was so much paperwork needed and we did find it quite stressful and I must agree at times we did feel like giving up but we just focused on the end result and that kept us going.
Chris and his staff are extremely helpful and were there to guide us every step of the way, I have lost count the amount of phone calls we did to his office, even though they prefer email we felt more at ease by talking to either Chris or someone who was dealing with our case, this they assured me was no problem.
On the day of our interview myself and my wife were both very nervous as we had invested so much time and money into our new venture and our daughter had already moved to the U.S as her college course had started 2 months prior to our interview so when we were told we had been approved we were ecstatic and the first person we telephoned was our daughter in the U.S as she was also very nervous because had the outcome been different she would have had to come home.
We are looking forward to expanding the business even further and buying a 3rd franchise as we recently bought a 2nd franchise. We were hoping to be already into our 3rd franchise by now but as the economy was really bad when we moved here in 2009 it has taken us a little longer than expected but we are grateful that our business survived the recession whilst many others didn’t .
