Have you ever lived in the US before? If so, under what circumstances? If not, what aroused your interest in a move to the US?

While living in London I applied through the Irish Lottery program for a green card , which I was fortunate to be granted. I then spent great periods of time in America , however , family issues in Ireland over a period of years would always mean that I needed to return to Europe to deal with various situations, while continuing my career as a Creative, working on projects which took place in Europe and the United States over a period of years.

How did you decide to pursue an EB1? As I was spending more and more time in Europe due to my family commitments , I needed to hand back my Green Card to US immigration - when back in Europe I applied for an O1 Visa and was very fortunate to be granted that Visa , which , as a Creative , allowed me the opportunity to live and work in the USA , while also living in Europe . As an O1 Visa needs to be renewed every 3 Years , now that all my Family issues have been resolved , I am now in a position to make a permanent and full time move to the USA , where I will pursue my career …

How did you decide to pursue an EB1?

As I was spending more and more time in Europe due to my family commitments, I needed to hand back my Green Card to US immigration when back in Europe I applied for an O1 Visa and was very fortunate to be granted that Visa, which, as a Creative, allowed me the opportunity to live and work in the USA, while also living in Europe. As an O1 Visa needs to be renewed every 3 Years now that all my Family issues have been resolved, I am now in a position to make a permanent and full time move to the USA, where I will pursue my career …

What was your experience with the EB1 petition process? Did you ever consider giving up? What was your motivation to keep pressing on?

I already had experience of the process of visa application to the USA, so, I was aware of the procedure – for the EB1  one really does need to present a great deal of information and to be detailed in the process – I am a detail orientated person so I took the challenge to supply a large amount of material for review by Chris, Lindsey and the team at the Law Offices of Chris M. Ingram, so we could edit and select the most appropriate material for the presentation of the case.  I never considered giving up as I knew a positive result would be worth it and wanted to ensure we had the best chance possible for us to be successful in the application – Chris had been recommended to me by 2 friends, who had been successful in their application with Chris & the Ingram team. Chris, Lindsey and I discussed my case in detail and we agreed on the best strategy. These conversations have continued throughout the case.

EB1 – Green Card: As Creative Directors go working in pop culture there is only one name that is at the very top in this field and that is Tom. Whether, working with Elton John, U2, Jay Z or Fink – Tom is the must have Creative Director if you want that enigmatic A-list look. Tom has been a long time client of the firm as he has referred many top professionals to us who work in front and behind the camera so they can get their EB1 green cards squared way. No pressure Tom ☺ Anyway without exception we’ve always been able to come through for Tom getting all of his referrals EB1 green cards. We work with many entertainment professionals who need to come to the US to work freely in their area of specialization; US Immigration calls these people aliens of extraordinary ability. As you can imagine there are many people who would like to consider themselves suitable EB1 green card candidates that are clearly extraordinary such as a make up artist for a top TV program or Stuntman for Vin Diesel and there are some that are clearly not – e.g., ‘I was an extra, a Droid, in the Star Wars movie’ or ‘I was one of the background apes in Planet of the Apes’……Continued Part 2
