Part 5: Taking the Plunge
Part 5: Taking the Plunge
We hope you’ve found this presentation series an inspirational start. We have not covered every visa type, but instead we’ve focused on the main one we handle on a day-to-day basis.
This law firm does not handle deportation, refugee or asylum cases, but if you find yourself in such difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact us for a referral.
We do handle visas for religious workers, but not often. We’d only be too happy to work with any religious organization to help them with the appropriate R1 visa.
Since August 15th 2012, we have been working with undocumented aliens who qualify under the Deferred Action executive order by President Obama that enables undocumented aliens who arrived in the US before their 16th birthday and completed high school, to apply for protection from deportation. If you know of anyone who may benefit from Deferred Action please let us know.
Most of our clients fall into the categories covered in this presentation.
When it comes to getting your green card, see it as a series of stepping-stones. Most people start with a non-immigrant visa such as an F1 Student visa, E2 Investment visa or H-1B Graduate visa and then progress their way up the Immigration ladder towards a green card. We talk to clients every day to develop valid Immigration strategies that will factor in the family, education and employment situation. Once we’ve established the most efficient pathway to green card status, we’ll get to work.
Nearly every client we talk to simply wants a green card in the shortest possible time, with no fuss or drama. The reality is that achieving green card status is a journey. For some people the journey can take just a few months, but it may take a few years. However long it takes, we want to ensure that all of our clients not only get to green card status, but they go all the way to US Citizenship.
Immigration bureaucracy will test your nerves, patience and stamina – count on it, factor it in, and be prepared. We have built up a wealth of experience you can call upon to navigate this terrain for you. Therefore, when Immigration throws up challenges you can be sure that we have the expertise to deal with them as they come.
At the end of the day our goal is to help each and every client experience the American Dream and you can count on us to passionately represent your interests until this goal is achieved – this is our pledge to you.
