In this presentation, we’re going to focus on the O1 visa category, ‘‘Other Comparable Evidence’.
Ok – let’s first go over the precise wording of this category and then break it down from there. The actual official wording of this category is: – [101(a)(15)(o) and 8 CFR § Sec. 214(o)]
Any other comparable evidence to establish extraordinary ability in the field.
This is very much a catchall category, and honestly, we rarely use this category except to include evidence that may not neatly fit into the other categories, but overall goes to show that our client has massed a good body of work, and this, when taken together with the additional categories, should be taken as evidence to demonstrate that the alien has indeed risen to the very top of their profession.

Often times we find ourselves working on evidence that might best suit the EB1 green card, and it’s not until well into the case that we begin to focus on one visa or the other. Sometimes while working on their case something major breaks for them, and as a result we’re able to move very quickly to complete their case and take advantage of the opportunity, whereas had we not started we’d be playing catch up.
At the end of the day we love working with our O1 visa and EB1 green card clients no matter how far along they might be in their careers. I often use the example, if you need to lose weight, when is the best time to hire a personal trainer? The same principle applies to working with O1 and EB1 clients. Think about it.
