In essence, the O1 Visa is given to any alien who can demonstrate that they are near or at the very top of their profession. Making this determination can be quite tricky but this video series should now make it very easy for you.

O1 Visa candidates want to come and work in the US for a limited period of time, for example to work on a specific project. For those aliens looking to settle permanently in the US to work on successive projects then they can also apply for the EB1 green card. We have an EB1 green card video series also.

US Immigration calls top professionals whether for the O1 Visa of EB1 green card – ‘Aliens of Extraordinary Ability’.

The way people like you are able to demonstrate your level of extraordinary ability is by being able to satisfy specific criteria or categories.

In fact US Immigration have a set list of categories covering a variety of attributes whereby if you can satisfy three from these lists you could be on your way to qualifying for the O1 visa. We’ll cover these lists and categories in this video series.

Your goal in reviewing these videos is to see whether or not you can satisfy three or more of the categories based on what you have achieved so far in your career.

The categories will include areas like whether or not you have won any awards, have been featured in the trade and general press, whether you have played or are about to play a leading or critical role in a major company, production or event and so the list goes on.

If you can satisfy any three from the list then you may well have a great chance of qualifying for the O1 Visa.

We also work with many clients who can’t presently satisfy three categories, in fact they can only satisfy one or two. For these clients, we coach and guide them towards the best O1 Visa categories and, over time, we’re able to help them develop the perfect profile for O1 Visa approval.

In addition to satisfying at least three categories you must have a firm offer to work in the US. However this offer need only be in place at the time of the application.

We work with a lot of clients who do not have a firm offer of employment, but they are working with us to get their case ready so that as soon as they are able to secure an offer of work their application can go right in to Immigration.

The offer can range from a two-week contract to appear in a specific event up to a three-year contract of employment.

Often times, our clients have an Agency contract for one to three years and the agency has already secured them their first booking by the time we file in the application.
