EB1 Green Card Windsurfing Champion

“If I could give one advice to people , it is “DONT GIVE UP” . You never know what is out there for you if you don’t pursue them. I thought about giving up hundreds of time, but I am glad I didn’t.”

Attorney Chris M. Ingram talks to Enes about how he surfed his Way into an EB1 Green Card.

EB1 Success Story – When Enes first came to us he was devastated because he had just been denied an EB1 green card based on his championship wind suffering abilities and was now in a desperate fix. Enes needed an EB1 green card to be able to build his professional career in wind surfing in the US and now everything he had hoped for looked dashed.

 The Interview

Tell me about where you are from and a little bit about your career and what you do?

I am from Turkey. I am a professional windsurfer. 2 X IFCA , 1 X PWA youth world champion, and top 30 world ranked windsurfer. I travel a lot and live the life to fullest.

Have you ever lived in the US before? If so, under what circumstances? If not, what aroused your interest in a move to the US?

I came to US in 2007 as an International Student, since then its been my main base.

How did you decide to pursue an EB1?

When I decided to stay in US permanently, I researched my options and figured out that the EB1 green card might be my best option.

What was your experience with the EB1 petition process? Did you ever consider giving up? What was your motivation to keep pressing on? Well , it was a very difficult process. In fact it was the single hardest accomplishment that I worked hardest for. My first application was with a firm in my city. After 6 months of work, we failed. My second trial was with the Law Offices of Chris M. Ingram and it was smooth and easy. If I could give one advice to people , it is “DONT GIVE UP” . You never know what is out there for you if you don’t pursue them. I thought about giving up hundreds of time, but I am glad I didn’t.

What kind of relationship did/do you have Chris (and his team)?

They were super confident and gave me very accurate and professional answers. I wish they were my first lawyers and team that I worked with. Attorney Chris M. Ingram and his team took over my folder and reworked it and got my EB1 green card very easily. I can’t thank them enough.

What were you doing when you found out you were approved? What was your immediate reaction? How did you celebrate?

Well this part is interesting. I was on a flight from Istanbul to Houston, Texas. Somewhere around 6th hour of the flight, I was working on my emails then suddenly I got an email from the Law Offices of Chris M. Ingram telling me to call them asap. But I was on the flight so my only option was email them back. And also we were supposed to get an answer back from USCIS any day so I knew it was about the possible approval of my EB1 green card. They emailed me back by congratulating me on my approval. It was a very relieving moment and I was up in the air and close to God to thank him 🙂

Now I get to live my American Dream.

Now I get to live my American Dream.

What are you looking forward to the most about moving to the US?

Just being able to enjoy my lifestyle here and be able establish my home and start my own company.

What will you miss the most about the Turkey?

Well I travel around the world all the time and get to see Turkey quite a lot , so this wont be an issue.

What advice would you give to any immigrant considering an EB1 or who is already in the process?

Be patient and put your heart and soul into your application – and listen Chris` team = success. And most important ingredient is “DO NOT GIVE UP”.

Thank you Enes – Awesome job!
