Tell me about where you are from and a little bit about what you do.

I am an IT professional, and I have been in the industry for 17 years.  I work as an SAP Practice Manager for a global systems integrator and solutions provider focused on providing strategic business processes, technology, platform, and managed service solutions.

How did you work your way up the ranks to reach your level and what were some of the challenges along the way.

Being in the field of Information Technology, it’s very important to keep abreast of new technologies especially in the field of Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. I am fortunate enough to work with great companies and clients where I always got to work on the latest and greatest technologies available in the market.  There were challenges along the way, for example, as a HANA Solution lead for the Asia Pacific region, I had to work with teams in different time zones and cultures.  Not only that, organizing collaborative marketing events with our software and hardware partners across multiple regions and countries was a challenge to bring the different teams on the same page due to language dependency.  Also, as a Project Leader for some of the clients, I have led multiple teams both onsite and offshore together with my other responsibilities of designing and executing the IT solutions.  With my skill set, knowledge and experience in the field of technology, I was able to successfully lead and execute very complex projects I was responsible for.  My work is always appreciated by the business teams which has helped me always win their confidence.

Sanjeev ready to call America home

Have you ever lived in the US before? If so, under what circumstances? If not, what aroused your interest in a move to the US?

I moved to the USA in 2014 to work in the field of information technology and have been living here since then.

How did you decide to pursue an EB1A?

Based on the experience I carry and the nature of my leadership roles and responsibilities while working on multiple technology projects, I found out that I may be eligible to pursue the EB1A journey. I got in touch with the Law Offices of Chris M. Ingram, who further reviewed my case and found the matching criteria for EB1A eligibility. That’s when I decided to work with them on this journey and came out successful.

Law Offices of Chris M. Ingram – Best EB1A Lawyers

First of all, I am glad that I chose the Law Offices of Chris M. Ingram on my EB1A journey.  They are a very professional law firm.  Everyone who worked with me on my case was an expert in the field of immigration and green cards, it was an amazing experience. All caseworkers are very prompt on the emails and calls and I never had to follow-up on my questions.  A special mention to Valerie, who worked with me almost 80% on my case. Valerie brings a lot of experience in this area, and she guided me through the process to prepare the content required for each of the categories for EB1A.  I never thought it would be that smooth but with the help of Valerie and her team, I was able to successfully achieve this.

What were some of the challenges you had to work on in the preparation of your case, for example evidence gathering?

Preparing the content and gathering the evidence is a challenging task and of course you need some expert handholding which the Law Offices of Chris M. Ingram provides. Most challenging was publishing the scholarly articles. I had already written technical blogs on SAP community network but that is not a platform eligible for EB1A. The articles must be scholarly in nature and should be published on international platforms.  It took a great amount of time and effort to write these articles and later to get them published was another daunting task.  I was surprised and extremely pleased when a couple of international platforms accepted my articles.  After my articles were published, there were thousands of views and comments on them, and I also got offers to write books on technology.  This further boosted my confidence to move on with working on the other requirements for the EB1A.  I am in the process of publishing a book now.

What kind of relationship did/do you have with Chris and his team?

Chris and his team are very professional and bring a lot of expert experience in the area of immigration and green card cases.  Since day one, they maintained a disciplined work culture and I never felt I was falling behind on anything. My case worker Valerie always guided me via phone, emails and their internal case portal.  The information is maintained securely on the case portal and is not shared via emails. Valerie was always available by phone in case anything needed her urgent attention. I recommend this law firm for anyone planning to hire an expert for any kind of Green Card journey.

What were you doing when you found out you were approved? What was your immediate reaction? How did/will you celebrate?

That was an awesome evening. My family and I were about to go to a friend’s place for a party. When I received a call from Valerie, we were in the garage about to get into the car and when she shared the news, I couldn’t believe it. We went back into the house, I hugged my wife and kids and congratulated them. A few days later, we all went for a holiday trip to celebrate.

What are you looking forward to most about moving to the US?

We are already in the US and we look forward to calling this country our home. I will keep on excelling in the field of technology and as they say, the US is a land of opportunities, I am also planning to start my own technology company in the near future. Also, I always do and will keep on doing philanthropy engagements to give back to society.

What will you miss the most about your home country?

Food and culture. India is an incredible country with many kinds of cuisines and cultures, from north to south, everywhere is different. I am going to miss it, but I plan to visit at least once in 2 years, if not every year.

What advice would you give to any immigrant considering an EB1 or who is already in the process?

If you have not yet started, I would advise first to do some research online about the EB1A and if you think you meet the eligibility, please have an initial free session with Chris and his team who can review your case and let you know if you can move forward with it.

If you are already in process, I advise to keep the fire burning inside you.  This takes a lot of time and hard work to prepare the content.  Each document has to be a strong evidence towards your case and that’s where expertise from Chris and his team comes into play.  Closely work with your case worker and you will surely reach the destination. I wish Good Luck to all who are already on this journey!
