EB1 Success Story – Tom
U2, Jay-Z, Elton John – what do they all have in common? Their creative director, Tom. Tom’s career is second-to-none and he has established himself as the go-to Creative Director for talents ranging from the most elite, such as U2 and Elton John, to the hottest new talent on the scene.

With walls covered in platinum records clearly displaying Tom’s success, securing an EB1 green card him for him almost seemed like a no-brainer.
Making the Decision
Tom was a former green-card holder when he originally came to us, but chose to surrender his green card due to his commitments in Europe. But when the time was right for him to the return to the US, he turned to the Law Offices of Chris M. Ingram; first to secure an O1 visa and then to pursue an EB1 green card.
“As an O1 visa needs to be renewed every 3 years, and now that all my family issues have been resolved, I am now in a position to make a permanent and full-time move to the USA,” Tom said.
Strategy for a Superstar
Tom’s extraordinary talent posed a welcome “problem” – he had SO much evidence we had to decide what pieces to submit to ensure he had a strong case without overwhelming the reviewing officer.
Working closely with our offices, Tom was part of the strategy development process the entire way. Tom provided detailed information regarding his platinum records, worked to get articles published about him and provided evidence proving the work he’s done for his superstar clients.
“I already had the experience of the process of visa application to the USA, so I was aware of the procedure,” Tom said. “For the EB1, one really does need to present a great deal of information and to be detailed in the process.”
EB1 Success
When Tom received the news of his approval, he was enjoying lunch with a friend that had also secured an EB1 Green Card in the past with the Law Offices of Chris M. Ingram. “Chris took care of securing her green card and she now lives in New York.” Tom said. “Such a coincidence that we were together when I got the news!”
The pair of friends celebrated with a glass of California white wine and Tom has since moved to the US where he continues to put his great talent to use in the American music industry.
For those looking to start their journey, Tom advises, “it is a long road and it is challenging; you need to put in the work… but being awarded the EB1 will allow you to appreciate that journey even more as, hopefully, a new journey to the USA begins!”
