The Professionals:
There are a lot of people out there who are extremely well qualified in what they do. I’m talking about Management Consultants, middle managers in large companies, and people who work in media, publishing and Entertainment.
This month I’ve been contacted by an array of such people who are looking to explore immigration possibilities under the O1 visa, EB1 green card or the L1-A visa. I write about these visas a lot because every week we get a steady stream of enquiries from people who did not know such visas existed specifically to help them relocate to the US quickly and at a high level.
Just this week I received enquires from five managers who had already relocated from the UK to the US under the L-1A intracompany transfer visa and now wanted to find out how they could go from L-1A to green card, also three film makers who wanted to open a film division in Los Angeles and a fashion designer who has designed clothes for the likes of Cameron Diaz and her work featured on the front covers of major international magazines.
US Immigration needs professional international individuals to sharpen its competitive edge and as a result they have created “red carpet” immigration pathways that can quickly lead to green cards.
The L-1A Visa is for managers and executives to transfer quickly to their US branches. Sometimes L-1A visa applicants are being sent to open a new US branch. O1 Visa applicants [O1 Visa Checklist] must also have a job waiting for them; however EB1 applicants [EB1 Green Card Check List] do not need to have a job at all.
