Application Process

One of the notable aspects of the EB-1A visa is that applicants can self-petition without needing a U.S. employer to sponsor them. This means the individual can file Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, on their own behalf.

Benefits of the EB-1 Visa

The EB-1A visa category offers several significant advantages. First, it tends to have shorter processing times compared to other employment-based green card categories, partly because it does not require a labor certification. Second, because the applicant’s extraordinary ability must be recognized nationally or internationally, those who meet these stringent criteria are typically given high priority in the application process.
