Best O1 Visa Attorney Chris M. Ingram Asks What Other Evidence Could You Submit to Establish Your Extraordinary Ability?
7. Any other comparable evidence to establish extraordinary ability in the field. 101(a)(15)(o) and 8 CFR § Sec. 214(o).
This is very much a catchall category and to be honest I rarely use this category except to include evidence that may not neatly fit into the other categories but overall goes to show that my client has massed a good body of work and this when taken together with the additional categories satisfied should be taken as evidence to demonstrate that the alien has indeed risen to the very top of their profession.
If having reviewed all of the categories you feel that you may have two or three categories that you might be able to satisfy then I’d be delighted to hear from you. If you feel you might be coming up short then please contact to me. I have many clients who have hired me to work with them and coach them as to the best ways to develop more qualifying evidence to enable them to satisfy this visa requirement. Often times we find ourselves working on evidence that might best suite the O1 visa or the EB1 green card and it’s not until well into the case that we begin to focus on one visa or the other. Sometimes while working on their case something major breaks for them and as a result we’re able to move very quickly to complete their case and take advantage of the opportunity whereas had we not started we’d be playing catch up.
At the end of the day I love working with my O1 visa and EB1 green card clients no matter how far along they might be in their careers. I often use the example, if you need to lose weight when is the best time to hire a personal trainer? The same principle applies to working with O1 and visa and EB1 clients. Think about it.
