To get you started I’ve laid out the O1 visa and EB1 green card checklist for your kind perusal below. Carefully go through the O1 visa and EB1 green card checklists to see which of the categories below you think you may be able to satisfy. You will need to find three O1 visa requirements or three EB1 green card requirements. If you can satisfy three from both lists then you really do have some great options ahead of you.
Take a good long look at your past achievements in your career and put aside all modesty. A key to the success of qualifying for either of these visas is confidence. Confidence can take you a long way in this business and by working on your case together I can make sure that your achievements are presented in precisely the right format for US Immigration to be delighted to award your visa.
Our Web site is packed with insightful information about the O1 visa and the EB1 green card so please do you home work, be inspired and let us get the ball rolling as soon as possible.
The O1 Visa – Aliens of Extraordinary Ability in Motion Picture and Television
The O1 visa is a renewable short term visa (1-3 years) that enables the alien to quickly travel and work in the US for special assignments, where you have a sponsor or agent – with at least one job booked. Under a system called Premium Processing, US Immigration (USCIS) will only take about two weeks to process these applications. However it may take us 4-8 weeks to gather and prepare the case. So planning things out very early is essential. You never know when an opportunity may come knocking.
O1 Visa Checklist:
From this list you need to be able to satisfy at least 3. If you can then you may well have the makings of a good case. Put all modesty aside and think American!
If you qualify for either option A. or could score at least 3 from the 7 options under B., even at a stretch, then this would be an excellent start.
A) Has been nominated for or been the recipient of significant national or international awards or prizes such as an Academy Award, an Emmy, a Grammy, or a Director’s Guild Award. [More Info]
B) By documentation of at least three of the following accomplishments:
1. Services, performed and to be performed, as a lead or starring participant in productions or events which have a distinguished reputation as evidenced by critical reviews, advertisements, publicity releases, publications, contracts, or endorsements; [More Info]

5. Significant recognition for achievements from organizations, critics, government agencies or other recognized experts in the field in which the alien is engaged. Such testimonials must be in a form that clearly indicates the author’s authority, expertise, and knowledge of the alien’s achievements; [More Info]
6. A high salary or other substantial remuneration for services in relation to others in the field, in the past or the future, evidenced by contracts or other reliable evidence; [More Info]
The EB1 Green Card:
The EB1 is actually a green card. For the EB1 green card you do not need a sponsor, you can sponsor yourself. Whereas for the O1 visa you will need a sponsor, or agent – with at least one job booked. The EB1 green card works on the principle of Extraordinary Ability but has its own slightly different checklist. For this checklist you need to be able to satisfy unequivocally at least three from the list. Again, ideally we like to only take on clients who can satisfy at least four even if the fourth or fifth are quite a stretch.
The EB1 green card takes about 12-14 months to process through USCIS and takes us about 90 days to put together if the client is efficient in providing the evidence we need. As in O1 visa applications, with the EB1 my essential role will be to guide you through the evidence collection process and help you shape the evidence just right to nail the satisfaction of the specific requirements.
